Static Web Banners

The static banners below were created in conjunction with HTML5 web banners. In most cases static banners are used as a fallback graphic when a browser isn't capable of showing the animated version. Static banners can also be used in place of animations for a myriad of other reasons.

Building banners under 40k when small type or logos are used can present a significant issue for crispness and readability. It is often better to omit content and build banners to display content which is legible and easy to quickly scan. When omitting content my main goal is still too encourage consumer click throughs while building brand awareness.

I always take the end user and device used for delivery into account while optimizing graphics for the web. I've found converting assets to exact pixel dimensions consistently renders cleaner on the web. One trick is using high resolution imagery for raster graphics and vector files for logos and type from the start. I care about the user and always try to provide graphics ready to be used on retina displays and high resolution screens.
